ministry. Today about 200 million people do not have the Bible
in their own language. Wycliffe's vision is to see
the Bible accessible to all people
in the language they understand best. Victor will share about his ministry, and
what it takes
to produce a translation of the Bible.
Lutheran meditation can be defined as "combining Bible reading and
prayer." Luther
suggested a way to do this. The class will study
Luther's plan and how it can be applied to our personal
Bible
reading.
The Task Force for ELCA Studies on Sexuality has released two proposed documents.
The documents are available on the home page of this web site along with a letter from
Pastor Eibel, recently adopted resolutions by the Church Council and Staff of Living Word,
and critiques of the ELCA documents by theologians and pastors. From April 26, 2009 to
May 17, 2009 Pastor Eibel and Pastor McClanahan examined the two documents,
highlighting
where they depart from orthodox, historic, biblical teaching.
