Mission Outreach Here and Abroad

At Living Word, we firmly believe that we are called to love and care for those around us. Christ called on the Church to be His hands and feet, so we pray that the Holy Spirit will grant us the grace and strength to do just that. Working both locally and internationally, we support the larger mission of the church, charity organizations, sister congregations, and our sister synod in Sierra Leone.
If you are interested in getting more connected to the mission work at Living Word, consider how your spiritual gifts match our many missions.

Living Word committed to building an entire school in our sister synod Sierra Leone. As of June, 2008 it was completed. The project consists of a 4-classroom building that can accommodate up to 200 students. The above photo shows the students prior to the start construction.

Living Word committed to working with the Marion Medical Mission funded over 20 new water wells in Africa. These water wells are used to give fresh water to entire villages - up to 1,000 people in some places.

Sierra Leone Medical Supplies Needed - In February 2009, a crew of 12 medical professionals will be heading to our companion synod, Sierra Leone, to establish a fully functioning medical clinic and need many medical supplies. If you can help with providing these medical supplies please contact Pastor McClanahan - mcclanahan@lwlc.com or 817-424-1149.
