Cluster Groups are designed to help youth serve God, get involved in the community and grow together as a group. As an added bonus, there are lots of service hours for college as well!
These groups are made up of Jr. and Sr. high youth, and meet once a month to take part in various project around DFW. These groups are led by caring background checked members of LWLC who will be investing their lives in your youth.
- The first group serves at Woodridge Nursing Home, playing games with and spending time with the residents.
- The second group serves 6-Stones a local organization helping the underprivileged in our area.
- The third group serves at ‘Pregnancy Help 4 U’ in North Richland Hills.
- The final group serves our local police and fire fighters here in Grapevine.
The Cluster Groups consist of monthly get-togethers where the mentors and the group members meet for their service project and have fellowship as well. These groups have fixed times they meet, so that you can build your calendar around the meeting times and attend as often as possible. Also 3-4 times a year the groups meet for an alternate service project or a purely fellowship event.
These groups are a way for our youth to grow together and build long-lasting relationships that they can carry with them as they work their way through school and post-high school.
Each summer the youth go on a mission trip here in the United States, and starting in 2017 an international trip as well. These trips are great ways to build relationships, and help those who are in need. Most importantly these trips let us serve God and spread the Good News of His death and resurrection. Isiah 6:8
In 2017, the youth went to Crownpoint New Mexico. The youth worked at a Navajo Indian reservation making small home repairs and building relationships with the residents. The group worked on dry-walling a ceiling and walls for a family with a leaky roof. The youth also had a great time interacting with the community and digging deeper into their relationship with God, and growing closer together as a group.
2017 was another great year for mission trips, as the youth of LWLC were able to bring Jesus, Light of the world, to those who live in darkness. John 8:12
